  • Hops in the Hangar is a FUNDRAISER! 100% of the proceeds benefit a number of local area nonprofits. Downtown Middletown, Inc, a Heritage Ohio Main Street Organization is the primary beneficiary.

  • Hops in the Hangar is a unique beer event organized and run by community volunteers.

  • -No outside food or drink

    -No weapons or firearms of any kind (regardless of concealed carry permit)

    -No umbrellas or tents as a participant

    -No drugs and/or drug paraphernalia

    -No pets

    -No balloons

  • Valid forms of ID include:

    -A valid state driver license with a photo

    -A valid ID card issued by a state with photo, name, date of birth and physical description

    -A valid United States military identification card

  • Minors are not allowed at this event, even small children. Every person inside the venue must be 21 or older, due to the nature of the event and our licensing.

  • Our license does not permit anyone under the age of 21 to be inside the event grounds. If your designated driver is under the age of 21, they are welcome to drop you off/pick you up outside the event entry gate.

  • This event is held at an active airport. Animals are not allowed on the event site except for ADA recognized service animals while performing their qualifying services. Please contact the event organizer for information.

  • The event is on ground level and is wheelchair accessible. Please contact the event organizer at hopsinthehangar@gmail.com for parking instructions.

  • Ticket pricing can be found on our Eventbrite ticketing page.

  • Breweries will be listed on our website and social media page a few months out. Most, but not all, beers will be listed prior to the day of the event. When you arrive at Hops, you can locate the brewery you want on the passport you will receive at check-in.

  • Yes. There will be several food trucks on-site offering a variety of great food and non-alcoholic beverages. These vendors usually accept both cash and credit. Our food vendors are selected so that we have a great variety of the best local fair available for our guests. We are sometimes asked if we could get more food trucks. Given the restrictions of having the event at an operating airport we pretty much max out the available space for food trucks but our vendors do a great job of preparing for the anticipated demand.

  • Unfortunately, no. We have several options inside the event for food and beverage purchase. Water is also available at several hydration stations throughout the event.

  • Due to the proximity of aircraft and fuel tanks, smoking is not permitted once inside the event site.

  • Yes! We plan to have several gluten-free options both for tasting and for purchase. Please check the passport you will receive at check in for the location of gluten-free beverages. You can also check the brewery page of our website, closer to event day for available gluten-free options.

  • Both, it takes place in a large airplane hangar and apron. The event will take place rain or shine. All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be given.

  • Yes. We offer two designated driver tickets options. Our VIP Designated Flyer tickets are $30 and allow early admission at 4pm as well as access to our VIP Sky Lounge tent. Our General Admission Designated Flyer ticket is $25. Both the VIP and general Admission Designated Flyer tickets include admission, 2 non-alcoholic beverage tickets available at the Hops concession tent. Designated Flyer tickets do not include access to beer and we ask that you respect that. Please note that Designated Flyer tickets, if still available, increase in price starting the week before the event. All tickets are limited and may sell out prior to the event.

  • We’re bummed you won’t be able to join us! While tickets are not refundable, ticket holders may give their ticket to someone else to use - similar to a concert or other ticketed event.

  • No, we prefer that once you enter your in. If there is a reasonable emergency please talk to the front gate.
